Re: Wilmington track - First race May 29
Hey All, I'm new to this RC thing wanting to go out and check out Wilmington track tonight. I haven't been on a track yet, I heard open practice is tonight at 6:30pm is this correct and are there any fees to practice. Like I said, would be great to have all information before I show up tonight. Also, is that the only practice time on this track through the week, asking because of my work schedule.

yes Wednesday is the only practice day 6 to 11 I believe, 10 bucks, and Friday before the race you'll have plenty of time to practice as well. People start rolling in around 5 or 6 but I'm always there early watering and prepping the track. Matt (the owner) is usually there as well. Hope to see you Friday at the race? So from the looks of your profile pic, you'll be racing 1/8th buggy? sweet! There should be quite a few of us.

Nice track out at Matt's place. Enjoyed myself a lot, just need upgrade some parts. I kept stripping my plastic steering horn ans my bottom rear shock ends kept stripping out. Otherwise, I had a blast for my first time on a track and once I get new upgraded parts it'll be even more fun. Thanks All!

Since I'm new at all this, I have a problem with setting up the steering servo. Sub trim, Expo and travel the proper way in doing it all. Any tips?

Re: Wilmington track - First race May 29
So what I have seen on videos of RC car races, is that there are pit stops. Will I need to find a crew for Matt's race tonight or what? I'm hoping that my car is ready this time, since this will be the second time I've been on a track.

Yep pitting is never a issue just show up someone will help you people sometimes pit 2 or 3 people at once it is no big deal
