Re: Steve King's RC Track
Well I haven't seen the track yet.. I'm just going by what I have heard. I pretty much heard the jump launches you way too high and is there isnt much of a downside to it... meaning that it is very likely that you will bottom out. Definitely not good for the car.

Re: Steve King's RC Track
Scared to "break your car"??? come on funk you got to be kidding me???? there is no track anywhere around here that is going to break anything on our stuff dont listen to theclowns who may of said that just go run the track, if you want to see a track that has some real HUGE nasty jumps go to the psyco nitro blast in atlanta i bet there jumps are at least TWICE as big as steves and there are VERY FEW people who break there.pfunk66 wrote:I keep hearing a lot of bad things about that big jump.. I would hate to not race here because I'm scared to break my car on a ridiculously oversized jump.. I don't know..

Re: Steve King's RC Track
I'm not sure about your financial situation.. but I am college student getting by on unemployment checks.. I'm barely getting by with racing as it is.. I don't need some supercross style oversized jumps that increase the chances that I will need to replace parts that either break or wear out much more quickly than they should. I'll check the track out at the first race and if I feel its too much then I won't race there.. That's what's great about having so many tracks. I can decide where I want to race...

Re: Steve King's RC Track
Well Funk let me clue you in on my "financial situation" I have a super high maintenance wife a 14 year old son who plays travel hockey and thinks money grows on trees a mortgage car payment ect ect ect so i know EXACTLY whats its like to race on a tight budget.. I think you are misunderstanding what i am trying to say. But its all good I am sure you will race at Steve's.pfunk66 wrote:I'm not sure about your financial situation.. but I am college student getting by on unemployment checks.. Re: Steve King's RC Track
I'm sure I probably came off a bit harsh.. but I read your post as being harsh too.. I was simply expressing my concerns about the track. I keep hearing about how Tri-state's track eats up tires and is full of rocks... Which is why I have not been there more than that first practice day. Now I hear bad about steves track..idk. I was trying to make the point that I will go to whichever track I think is better for me based on location, track maintainence, track layout, etc.. I'll definitely go a few times and keep it the rotation. I was just hoping for a really great track that I could plan on racing at every week like we did last year at Sunrise. It may still work out that way. We'll have to see.
Wasn't trying to attack you there.. just having trouble dealing with the stress of not having nearly enough money to do both what I need to do and want to do. I thought the economy was improving.. but I still can't find a job..? What's up with that..

oh i didnt come at you harsh i just keep it real and i didnt take what you said as harsh either i am a big boy i can take people saying whatever they feel. You know everybody has a opinion about tracks and there are NO wrong opinions you just have to go see for yourself and as far as Tri-State goes yea it is hard on tires and the dirt sucks but i will go back just not as much
